about me
Hello,
My name is Linda and I'm a mother of four grown children. I work full-time and do odd and assorted projects when I can. I like to sew, though it's very time consuming and difficult to do at times. I have three dogs who I'm very attached to, though I never thought it would happen. When I was a kid, my friend of choice was cats; but somehow that has changed totally. I still like cats but I'm drawn to dogs and their loving and trusting personalities.
Insert an aside here: Isn't if funny how we classify ourselves? If you read through 'About Me' sections you'll see all sorts. Some lead off with their educational accomplishments. Some list all their accolades. I think it would be more appropriate to just say "I'm me!"
Back to projects: I like to sew, though I wish I were better at art. When I draw, I lose time because of the level of concentration involved. When I sew, I lose time, but I feel like I've lost that time. Do you understand? I feel sometimes like I'm wasting valuable 'living' time sitting at that machine. There are so many pursuits I'd love to, well, pursue. Drawing is one. Maybe painting. But I also love to read. That's fallen by the wayside. I love to organize. That's almost an OCD, though. Or it would be if I'd let it. I can spend an inordinate amount of time organizing and reorganizing.
